Described as an adult playground with gambling, clubbing, entertainment and shopping! A fun, quirky destination with lots to see and do! Also a great place to stopover on the way to California or Hawaii or when visiting the amazing National Parks of America.
My first impression was of a multitude of amazing high quality hotels of incredible, varied and often themed designs – transporting you to Paris, to Venice or to a make-believe world. Choices are available to suit all budgets, but it is worth paying a bit extra to be at one that is located on ‘The Strip’.
MUST DO’s –
* A visit to the Grand Canyon and or the Hoover Dam, either by helicopter or small plane on a day trip or extend your stay for a few nights and have a self drive to the area.
* Experience the incredible ‘Cirque du Soleil’ performance and there is a multitude of shows on offer. * Take a walk down the famous strip for excellent sightseeing from the dancing fountains of the Bellagio, the gondolas at the Venetian or a Rollercoaster ride outside the New York New York hotel.
* A helicopter ride over the illuminated city at night time is an amazing experience! * The Mob attraction at the Hotel Tropicana was great fun and caused much laughter.
* Golf – play a round of golf in a beautiful setting as well as with the Las Vegas skyline in the background. Or do as I did, and treat yourself to some great value golf gear at one of the many shopping malls. Las Vegas, perfect for any shopaholic on a mission!
