1)  Where is your favourite holiday destination and what do you do there?

My favourite holiday destination is Australia as it’s such a vast and varied country that it has something for everyone.  I love Sydney and after having lived there for three years, I think it’s my favourite city in the world.  The Harbour Bridge and Opera House are iconic and setting sail down the Harbour is a must-do! There are fantastic beaches along the Northern Shores that are a must-see, and then there’s also plenty to do on the outskirts! The Blue Mountains, famed for the Three Sisters and the incredible views are spectacular with some excellent walking or hiking trails and lovely waterfalls.  Further north, the Hunter Valley, with its plethora of vineyards, makes for an excellent stop to indulge in local gastronomy.  No trip to Australia is complete without visiting the Great Barrier Reef and you can easily do a twin-centre with Sydney and end at the Reef for a relaxing break.

2)  If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and what would you want to experience?

If I could go anywhere in the world it would be Antarctica. Having a degree in Marine Zoology and a long-running background in volunteering with marine mammals, Antarctica has always been at the top of my bucket list.  It would be the wildlife that I would want to experience, particularly seeing Orcas, seals and penguins, along with the crisp white/blue ice landscape that Antarctica is famed for.  I would perhaps even take part in the Antarctica challenge of swimming in the Southern Ocean! How many people can say they’ve done that?!

3)  What was your favourite itinerary you have worked on, where was it to and what did you recommend they do?

My favourite itinerary I have worked on would be a trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar.  Being a massive fan of wildlife, Africa itineraries are always very rewarding. For this part of Africa, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater are definites along with Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara.  The accommodation in these safari destinations are so incredible, it’s always very interesting researching and looking at them, along with all the amazingly cute photos of all the animals. Then heading on to Zanzibar for a relaxing break is always a good option to tie in with safari in Tanzania.  Zanzibar is such a beautiful island and when you propose this kind of itinerary to your clients, it’s always so appealing as it’s such a fantastic part of the world!
