Vietnam - Timeless and Enchanting!
There are few places in South East Asia that are as infamous for their turbulent history. Contrary to the multitude of films, books and songs written about their country remain hidden jewels waiting the turn of every corner. With remarkable sightseeing, a rich and diverse culture as well as warm and friendly people in Vietnam is waiting to be discovered. Its charms will leave you wanting to return again and again. Weather you are looking for sightseeing, beaches or touring holidays, Vietnam offers a fantastic mixture of places to see and visit. In city locations an organised tour is a good idea to help with your orientation, after this if you want to explore independently there are a whole array of taxis, and ‘cyclos’, which are rather like a modern day rickshaw that offer a novel and fun way to get around.
Not only does Vietnam have a rich diversity of places to see,
but also enjoys a vast and beautiful coastline, mist shrouded mountains, mighty rivers and
cascading waterfalls.
Whether your passion is for history, scenery, food or
culture
the delicate tapestry of this nation will offer you
all of this and much more besides.

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)
Vibrant and dynamic Ho Chi Minh City is the cultural
heart of the nation. The largest and most energetic
city in
Vietnam it is a rich melting pot of culture and traditions,
an electric mix of street markets, cafes
and shops
rubbing shoulders with restored
colonial buildings and
shiny new developments.
During late January and early
February the
Tet (Lunar New Year) Festival takes place
and
this can be an exciting if chaotic time to visit!
Ho Chi Minh City is a tumultuous jumble of traffic,
people and architectural styles-its impossible not
to be infected by the buzz of
freewheeling old Saigon.

Hanoi
The capital of Vietnam and one of the hidden gems of
South East Asia, Hanoi retains an elegance and charm
not often found in this part of the world, the city’s
French influence is to be seen in the fine old colonial
buildings and tree lined boulevards. With a laid back
pace it’s a great place to sit at a pavement café
and watch life pass by. |

Cu Chi Tunnels
Close to Ho Chi Minh stands an amazing complex
of underground tunnels that formed an underground
city of sleep quarters, armaments, kitchens and command centres which at its peak housed up to 10,000 people. Crawl along the serpentine passageways, descend deep into the tunnel complex and search for the elusive hidden trap door. |
