Along with the best restaurants, bars & nightclubs and Fremantle is home to one of the oldest working fishing harbours in Australia, just off the coast is Rottnest Island, renowned for surfing, fishing, boating, diving, superb snorkelling and swimming in crystal-clear bays.

 


Wave Rock & Aboriginal Caves
Climb the Darling Ranges and cross vast dry farming plains. Visit historic York, original and untouched centre of the Avon Valley. Look out for cows, cockatoos and galahs. On arrival in Hyden visit wave Rock and take a guided tour along the base and over the top. Enjoy a picnic lunch. Time to visit the native Wildlife Park before exploring the Humps & Mulcas Cave, where you will learn the story of Mulca and ancient Aboriginal cave paintings. View native wildflowers (Sep –Nov)

Margaret River & Fossil Caves
Travel by the riverside suburbs and yacht clubs south of Perth and past Mandurah and Bunbury to Busselton. Visit the Margaret River Caves and explore awe-inspiring Mammoth Cave for a guided tour of the ancient fossil remains of extinct animals. On to Yallingup, home to the Aboriginal Wardandi people where you will take the ‘Bush Story Trail’ with an Aboriginal guide. Taste fine wines at Evens and Tate, one of Australia’s largest wineries. Later there is free time to explore the fascinating township of Margaret River.

4WD Pinnacles, Koalas & Sand Dunes
Visit Caversham Wildlife Park, with an opportunity to see Koalas up-close. See native wildflowers (Sep-Nov). Walk on the pristine white sand beach at Cervantes. On arrival at Nambung National Park, join a guided walk through Pinnacles desert limestone pillars created by the forces of nature. Cross vast big sky scrub and emus on the endless plains. At Lancelin, ride Desert Storm Adventure – a monster 4WD bus purpose-built for the Lancelin sand dunes. Try sand boarding down the dunes!
